The   Process   of Home   Theater Installation

The Process of Home Theater Installation

If you have ever considered revolutionizing your home entertainment, chances are that you have
asked yourself the question; What is home theater installation? However, if you reside in San
Antonio, you don’t have to worry yourself with finding the answer to this question. We have experts
who will handle everything from recommending you the best systems, to installing them for you
and teaching you how to operate the same. For the sake of curiosity though, there are a few things
you need to know about home theater installation.

A home theater system is not a single unit

As most people might be led to believe, a home theater is not a single unit. You will need to
purchase a number of components that together will be assembled to make a complete home
theater. These components are:

 Source of video: like a television, DVD player, among others.
 Audio and video (AV) receivers
 Speakers
 Connecting cables
 Surge protection gadgets
 Media streamers

In brief, home theater installation, therefore, refers to the connection of these devices in your home
to give you the ultimate entertainment experience. You can choose to do it yourself or contract
experts to do the job for you. If you opt for the latter, you will have to find an expert who is all-
rounded to save you the cost of hiring more than one person.

The Installation Process

There are no specific steps to follow when installing your home theater, but in the end, you must go
through all the steps described next.

 Mount you TV screen on the wall making sure that it is perfectly upright. You can use a
level to confirm this.
 Next, connect your audio and visual receivers to their respective ports on your TV screen
and attach the same to your woofer, again checking to see that every cable goes in the right
port.
 Take your main connecting cable and plug it into the audio output of your woofer and use
wire clippers to strip and connect it to a multiplier for connection to each speaker. Note that
this process depends on the stereo system you purchase since others come with an audio
output port for each speaker.
 Before you plug in your power cable into your power source, make sure to use a surge
protection gadget of some sort to protect your devices from surges.
 Connection of any media streamer again depends on your choice of gadget.
 The last stage of your home theater installation process is testing to see that all components
run as expected and you are good to go.
